The Lawns

Rateavon overclad the felt roofs on eight 1990’s bungalows in Bristol with a lightweight steel roofing system. The felt roofs were coming to the end of their lives and a more long term solution was sought. These Metrotile roman 450 tiles look like standard roof tiles but are lighter, low maintenance, long lasting, recyclable and make no more noise than traditional tiles. On this project Rateavon also removed the asbestos fascias/soffits, installed new uPVC fascias/soffits, guttering & downpipes and provided extra support to existing roof timbers and installed loft insulation.

Rateavon carried out all resident liaison for this project. Many residents were elderly so before the works began Rateavon and Bristol City Council held a meeting, in a local community centre, explaining the works and answer questions.
